Xtc I had no idea sump existed. I have some family in town this coming weekend and we will have to check it out. Thanks for the heads up.
No problem. They're only open until 4pm, so go early in the day.

This guy makes the best coffee in St. Louis. He's on a whole different level than anyone else in town. He just started a YouTube series, here's the first few episodes:
Going to St. Louis soon, where in the town is this guy?

This will be my next purchase.

Much obliged, Urb, just ordered… Was doing the microwave thing for my non-cold press (aeropress) coffees, that's not ideal for many reasons.

He's in south city, on south Jefferson just north of Chippewa.

Going this Friday I think. I can't wait! So far my fave cup has been at a candy company in the marathon building in Nashville but I can't remember the name….

Bang Candy Co.?

Enjoy! The coffee is so good, there's not a grain of sugar or a drop of creamer anywhere to be found.

Couple new mugs.

I love lion coffee. I used to drink it all the time when I lived in Hawaii.
Awesome. Yeah I just thought the mug looked cool. Never had their coffee.

That digital electric kettle came in today. Thing is fucking badass. I don't have the AeroPress here (left at the office), and probably would not drink coffee this late anyway, but made some tea: http://www.teavana.com/the-teas/white-teas/p/peach-momotaro-artisan-tea
It heats up super fast, so convenient and precise.

Has anyone heard of Coffee Joulies?http://www.joulies.com/
I've been thinking about getting them for a long time but haven't pulled the trigger yet. Thought some of you coffee geeks might get a kick out of them.

My bartender last night (and buddy) is also a barista. I asked about local coffee and he encouraged me to check out Dogwood (http://www.dogwoodcoffee.com/), where he works. I had had their coffee at one of my favorite restaurants (they do drip, espresso, and siphon there), and knew he was right about them. Total geeks. They developed their own cold presser, had a cold press shaken with coconut milk that was quite good.
Also picked up this beauty:
Perfect size for moistening aeropress filters:
And some of this freshly roasted espresso blend (they were out of single source): http://www.dogwoodcoffee.com/collections/all-coffee/products/neon_espresso
Aeropressed a scoop of this over a giant ice cube (too goddamned hot today for hot coffee) and added some pastured whole milk (after tasting the syrupy deliciousness of course):
Quite good I must say, especially with milk. It would make a wondrous cappuccino. This is good stuff. You can order it online, apparently even on Amazon, if you are interested.
