Mister Freedom

Anyone on here have any experience with the me trooper boots and sizing? Wear an 11 in viberg, converse, alden. 12 in vans. Thanks in advance.
Trooper boots are supposedly sized same as Road Champs - based on that, I'd suggest up 1/2 size from Viberg. In other words, 11.5. Or up 1 (size 12) if you want a roomier fit.
Others with RCs will undoubtedly have an opinion.

I'd call mister freedom. Great people.
Contact the manufacturer? Rather than rely on random opinions on the internet? You my friend are a loose cannon.
(meant in a joking and not snarky sense…)

Hehe I'm a lil cray cray like that

I agree about contacting MF, @eyeq8402 . That said if they say it's the same as the RC. I tried on the RC a few months back. The 11.5 fit perfect. I wear 11 in Viberg, 12 in Vans and 11.5 in Alden (Indy's are a bit on the big side)

I was just speaking my opinion from personal experience - I have a lot of boots - of course folks can take it or leave it…
From the MF online store: "The Trooper lasts are those of our Road Champ. If you are familiar with our engineer boot, the fit is the same, if only more ‘flexible’ around the arch/ankle due to lacing. There is no real magic formula to advise on sizing, as everyone’s foot proportions/sock preferences vary. However, according to feedback, sizing down HALF your sneaker size seems to work. If you are a 10 in New Balance sneakers, you are probably a 9½ in the Trooper. And like they say, it always works, sometimes."
And I agree with Mcclain, they are great people. Very helpful to me.

RC last and narrow toe shape doesnt fit every feet, usually its half down from what i read and correspond with MF. I was wearing my usual 8 in them (half down from my nike size 8.5) fit was not bad but they were a bit to wide for my feet so i had too much slip, which i also couldnt handle by using an insole (toes touched front then) or by using the straps. 7.5 would have def killed my toes. Upsizing to 8.5 i would have swimmed in those guys. Unfortunately they had to go then but maybe i will try some of the newer batches in future if i have the chance to do so and they are still around.
Since the trooper is a laced boot i believe size 8 would fit me well and comfy as i like my toes having enough room (i dont own one so please dont take me on that :))

Davito, did you try a 3/4 insole? I've found them to be a good option for when you need an insole but a full insole won't fit.
-
Thx mate @Chiba J. Tbh no but was not happy back then and schwupps they went to a good home someone else is very happy and i am happy with my Bucos
Thanks for your input will consider it Next timeAnd dont get me wrong: i love the RC, still hope someday i will get one of the newer batches if still available

Yeah, it won't work in every situation, but a 3/4 insole is a good tool to have around to potentially make some boots fit right for some people. I've found, for example, that a superfeet 3/4 makes my Alden trubalance boots fit just about perfect. Without it though they are very difficult to wear, for me…....

I tried to squeeze into a 12 RC, and it was wishful thinking - had them resoled by Brian and he also made them a 1/2 size bigger (thanks to @superfuzz for the nudge to check with BtB). Perfect now. Great investment, or theyd've had to go to a new home. A 13 would've also been OK with an insole (I think).

@ben2t my tag size w30 after one soak, one machine wash and a bit of wear measures waist approx 74cm IH-style. I always wear a belt so my pants don't stretch that much at all. be aware my lot44 is the marked pxuv fabric, the other limited fabrics you see in the online shop behave all different shrink wise.

Went for a size L instead of XL in the SE Que Pasa mad dash. It's a bit tight, but I like most of the measurements. The length in particular would have been too much. It shrank as expected.
