Iron Heart Products - What do you think we should make?
-
@Bill-C I like it!

I'm sure someone has suggested this... And i can see why it would never happen... But... Custom sized shirts would be dope. I mean existing items that are seasonal, nothing from scratch, but for the die hards that know what they want in advance this would be amazing. I'd personally pay a couple of hundred extra for the privilege.

IDK @Mr-Linz but I can‘t imagine custom-made heritage workwear could be Haraki‘s thing. But there is a work-around: all my shirts and jackets that are not perfectly fitting I‘ll bring to a little tailor shop for alterations, whether it’s sleeve length or waist width, whatever. And it usually doesn‘t cost much. The turkish lady there does it perfectly and I‘m all happy with it. For me it‘s worth the little extra money.

@endo I'm just really throwing ideas out into the ether. I totally understand how that's never going to happen. After listening to @Giles and @Alex on the podcast, I realize how loopy most of my posts on this thread are.
And thanks for the advice, as it happens I already do that, I need the sleeves on every shirt shortened by my tailor... It's a thing. But worth it. It's all worth it.

@Sir_Cuffs-a-Lot Good idea, . I would like that too, a bib in corduroy. In a nice brown, not too dark.
-
A corduroy Sherpa trucker, preferably a type II, not too dark brown, boa flee lined!
-
@BumbleBee-MP At the very least I think an Indigo (Think IHSH-161) Corduroy Type 2 would be pretty sick. Also you can’t go wrong with black either.

DUDE...a corduroy T2 would be killer!

I love all these corduroy ideas. I love the stuff, but that fat-wale stuff is a no-no. The heavier the better!

How about a cold weather hood for the M65? I mean, the buttonholes already on the collar
-
@scarfmace Seconded!
-
It's a really difficult thing to do with any hope of getting demand right. We have done loads of variants of the M65, so we would thus have to make hoods for all variants (because if we did not, you can bet your bottom dollar that someone would bitch) and we would have to guess how many to make of each variant. Well, that's sort of what we always have to do but there is a significant difference here, if we make too many shirts (for instance), we still have an item of clothing to sell at a discount, if we make too many hoods, we only have a hood to sell.
Years ago, H said to me in a very pleased tone of voice, that he was going to make an M65 with an optional liner. I asked him what the fuck he was going to do with a load of unsold liners at the end of the season. He decided it was not such a good idea after all....
