Brock, this is cool as hell, man! I don't even know where to begin.
I LOVE those shots of the bike on the broken earth. That's like something out of an iPhone ad
What's the difference between a gravel bike and a road bike? The thickness of the tires? It almost looks like a mountain bike but without the suspension?
How long have your rides been with this thing?
-
@Brock - incredible bike and beatiful photos man! I really dig the hifi wheelset
here's my ride - Ribble CGR Titanium. I have two sets of wheels both offroad and slick tires, changing them depending on the occasion

Thanks man. Those pictures were taken on what is now a barren reservoir in Eastern Oregon.
That’s essentially it, they tend to have road geometry with off road capabilities. Wide Drop bars, 1X Drivetrain, dynamo hub. They have also been called Adventure bikes or All terrain Bikes.
This build wasn’t finished until lte in the season last year so I don’t have too many miles on it yet. Today was my longest ride yet, we did 30 miles. I’ve done a few around 25 and at quite a few 10-15 mile rides. Nothing overnight yet.

Love the Ribble. How’s Ti? I’ve heard good things
And thank you, I also thought neph93 would appreciate the nod to Pokémon

@Brock - i like Ti a lot, it's like steel but lighter. riding characteristics almost the same. stable and comfortable ride. not firm and agile like carbon, and of course not harsh as the (old) aluminum frames.
i got it to retire myself from my cc weekend rides that just got too hard for me
This is for enjoyable cruising on the road, and offroad rides which i enjoy a lot
riding a road bike the whole time, the hardest pill to swallow were disc brakes. so noisy and big and ugly, but i got used to them. no real alternative when riding wide tires. -

I hear you. Disc brakes do kinda suck but the stopping power is well worth it. This is my first bike with disc brakes and I’m about to change out the pads for the first time. I’ll be watching some YouTube I’m sure

Someone had fun. Based on the foam doughnut, someone else had to grit their teeth and bear it.
