I was quite nervous to travel solo with em but It's been a wonderfull experience!
Went on a 3 day trip to Irland, drove the Ring of Kerry, image taken at Torc Waterfall. The whole trip was wonderfull!

like you, I'm on a similar path. In the last "Ironcast" episode, @Blowoutthecobwebs spoke about a Netflix series called 'the minimalists' that I actually watched a couple years ago when it just came out and while the guys voice is quite annoying what he said still sticks with me to this day.
My wife left me in the beginning of last year and despite it being an emotional shitstorm, it also gave me the opportunity to start fresh. Half my house was empty and I could chose if I wanted to replace something or not. Instead of just going to Ikea and getting the same items, I'm taking my time living with less stuff and found out I rarely miss anything. If I do have to buy something, I'm going for the best item to serve my purpose.
As for clothes, the biggest thing that got me to reduce my wardrobe is to only buy black clothes. (with the exception of my 21/23OZ because IH doesn't make that in black YET)
Going into the city center, I see so many people aimlessly shopping around trying to fill some sort of void that it's really making me sad sometimes. Or going into stores like H&M or Zara and seeing all that crap clothing just waiting to be worn once and thrown out, all the labor and effort for people who don't need it... We give cars such a bad rep for ruining the planet, and nobody bats an eye about people throwing out 81 pounds of clothing each year, it blows my mind.
Anyway, I always have an eye open for interesting stuff, but rarely do I buy something now because I 'need it' and that helps keep my focus on what's most important: my kids.
I love how the crazy scales start at 4
been lurking here for a while, thought I'dd make my first contribution.
I'm a single dad with a 5 and a 7y old and while they can be a hand full, I never thought I would enjoy being a dad this much. Didn't realy like kids before (still don't exept my own tbh)
A couple tips I wish I knew earlier:
@SKT a little secret road that you deff want do take when doing the Ring of Kerry is called 'Priest's Leap'.
6kg bone in might take 14h easy, depending on the intermuscular fat. Is it good quality pork? I'm guessing it is since you got 6kg of it, that's not a small one. Either way,if you start at midnight, you'll have time to spare. Try not to get a rub with too much sugar, they tend to burn on longer cooks, even at low temp.
that is a good looking cutting board! (and meal )
I celebrated the start of the mussels season yesterday
555 Looks like he has lollipop legs to me, 666 would be acceptable but for me the 634 takes the crown. the 888 look a bit to baggy around the crotch.
I would not go over your IH size, go down one for a fitted look, and maybe match it if you want it loose.
I visited 'le bar a lunettes' in Luik, Belgium last Saturday and couldn't desside between these two:
Vendome
Or Stahler
Feedback would be much appreciated
@denim-dawg Thank you for taking the time to write such a great response. I don't own a pair of bib's myself, wich is a big part of why I was asking. I'm however starting to warm up to the idea, but untill they make a SBG set, I'm safe
how warm is this fabric?
@denim-dawg can you elaborate more on this? what hold does the bib have on you now that you didn't have before?
