IH-666S - The Devil's Fit Indigo - Slim Tapered
-
I generally give a first hotsoak with a piece of wood for minimal shrinkage at the waist. I'm not sure if it is the right way but it works just fine with my Samurai.

Got a 28 Devil's Fit for my girlfriend. Thanks Giles
I have to say this pair really have charaters. The denim ist not like any other Ih denim, it's more crisp and rough. My Gf really loves this kind of denim. Here are some pre-soaking fit pics.
Warm soaked for 2 hours
Here are some post-soaking pics
Enjoy

Inseam hemed to 32. It turned out a little during the soaking, but i think i fixed it well ::)
the heming is well done. Thanks Giles
why this turned out, i assume it is related to the unique character of the denim, if u want to hem them, then u should not soak it too long and too hot (think i might soak them too hard). hope this helps. -
Thanks Beatle

Beats was correct. I screwed up. Sorry…..
Hi Giles! I really don't think it's ur fault. I checked the chainstitching before i soaked them, it was alright, i didn't find anything wrong. Besides it's nothing to me, it's only part of the story of a pair of damn good jeans. Anyway i still think that the better way to hem a pair of jeans which r heavier than 17 oz is to hem them after soaking them if it's possible. As i know the turning out thing happens more often with heavier jeans. At least i heard about this more than 3 times from my friends.

I don't need another pair of IH's but these in the OD intrigue me…
Giles (or anyone else, for that matter) could you expand at all on what makes this denim unique / gives it "so much character?" You stated you asked Haraki to make this denim specifically for this jean; I'm sure you asked for more than just an 18 oz. slubby denim... as a connoisseur of fine things I'm interested to hear how it's different than IH's standard 21 oz. denim.

Jacoavlu! I can't desribe the character in words since english is not the language i grew up speaking and i'm also not a good writer, think i should leave these to Beatle or Giles. But what i can do is showing u the fabulous cotton thread and fiber

I, like jacoalvu, do not need another pair of IH jeans (at least im trying to tell myself i dont) but I'd love to try IH slubby. Grr those macro pictures sure tease me. Hope the OD's will be around for a while!
