I assume the trip is business related. Where/what are you visiting?
On the way here:
I got real excited for a moment thinking you had a Boston IH stockist I wasn't aware of.

Cool, we'll be in Boston in 5 weeks….

Thanks for the warm welcome folks!
Welcome, Patrick. As a recent noob and daily suit wearer, I understand where you are coming from. Beware, Iron Heart is the most addicting clothes I've ever experienced, and after experiencing the quality, it's almost hard to buy anything else. Welcome to the IH tribe, you'll love it here.
Thanks Joe. Incidentally, I found your posts particularly relevant as I fall into the Clydesdale category myself and found the fit/shrink info you posted recently very useful. I'll post some more details in that thread to stay on topic but the abridged version is that I'm on the fence between ordering a 38 or 40 waist.
Thanks for sharing all the info, I'm sure I'm not the only one who benefited.
Just wanted to post an intro. I'm from the Boston area (Newburyport, up on the N. Shore of MA) and I recently registered after slowly making my way through 634/634s threads paying particularly close attention to the three S's…sizing, stretching and shrinking (if applicable). I'm about to take a large leap into your world of IH. I started a few yrs back with some 501 STF's then a pair of US Made Selvedge 501's early this yr.
The tough part for me is that I'm in business attire for the workday so denim is strictly an off hours thing for me. Given that it takes a yr or more to break in a pair of Selvedge denim, I might as well make it something I really want. I've started measuring my current jeans and may reach out for some final sizing recs in the coming weeks, though the 634S thread is a wealth of great info.
Lastly, the forum is a refreshing dose of common courtesy and civility, which is often (and sadly) rare in the world of Internet forums! Look forward to participating/contributing in the future.
