Rodinal is still available, albeit under different trade names. Here's one of them: http://www.adox.de/english/ADOLUX/ADOLUX/ADONAL/ADONAL.html
Agfa says R09 One Shot is the same formula as Rodinal but there seems to be a lot of internet debate about whether it's true. I want to like Rodinal but my results with it have been far too inconsistent because of its sensitivity to time/temp/agitation/etc.
my point exactly… im having people coming in offering 40 to 50 bucks for whatever we have left of rodinal but my boss wont sell it because he wants to keep it for his friends
It was only about 5 years ago I discovered how easy and satisfying it was to develop my own black and white film. Just wish I had more time for it.
Tri-x souped in Rodinal, can't beat that for me.
If only Rodinal still existed….
I hear ya Guillaume. Of course you know anything to do with Leica is not gonna be cheap - it's like driving an Aston Martin, just changing the oil is expensive.
Call up Sherry and tell her what's going on and she'll quote you a price. Good luck.
Now, all that said, of course you've tried a fresh battery in the M6…
of course, i feel that it has something to do with the shutter release. the m6 light meter responds to that when press down ever so slightly. i believe something is wrong there.
Glad there are other people here using film. What's the best place to buy it in NYC? Flying there on Thursday and don't want to take a bunch through the xray machines.
It depends, if you want to be treated like cattle go to B&H. But if you go to K&M and say B&H sells it for cheaper you will get it at that price. Plus we actually try to help our customers out, everyone there has a interest in art/photography or is a student in that field major so we all know our stuff when it comes down to it. B&H, "What do you want? Ok, Here your ticket go to that line. Next"
thanks, ill look into golden touch, never heard of it before though. the only real place i know of around my area is nippon and they are a bunch of rip offs. cost me a close to a new pair of iron heart jeans last time to get my last camera fixed. but now i seem to have a problem with my m6. the lightmeter does not seem to work. usually i would not care but it is my night time camera for a project that im doing and the environment im in doesnt really give me a good sense of light if that makes any sense
dont suppose anyone on this forum is a authorized leica repairman ?
a bag would be nice but im leaning more towards a a side bag satchel sort of thing
