Thank you, both!
Yeah… it seems pretty tough to go wrong with the 888S as a starting point. Plus, $325 is slightly easier to justify than $400 We were out with friends last night, and I had cause to lament an accidental drippage of queso on my N&F raws... which swiftly evolved into a conversation about the price of my jeans and how much the jeans I'd be looking at getting for winter would cost and then me suddenly being on the end of a Spanish Inquisition as to how any pair of jeans could be worth $400. I certainly hadn't anticipated being put on the spot like that... but then you know what they say about the Spanish Inquisition.
I think I just about held my own.
Anyways... As it's just getting hotter over here and I'm in no particular rush, I guess I'll just see whether any sales roll around between now and the inevitable cold snap!

Hey all, thought I would take a minute to do this.
I've been wearing raws for the last 10+ years, A.P.C's, Diors, Nudie, Strike Gold, etc.
Right now I'm rotating some Studio D'Artisan SD-307, Skulls 5010xx's and some LVC 1947 501's and just ordered some IH-634-DD after buying a few IH pocket shirts in Australia and getting hooked on the quality.
Thanks all for being a great help with sizing and fit already, I look forward to plenty more fun to come!

Hi all, my first post here. I finally decided to join the forum after lurking for a while. I started out with a pair of 666S-19L after returning jeans from another brand that I just couldn't get the sizing right on. The thing that really stood out to me about that first pair of IH is the quality and attention to detail. It's just so satisfying. It's all been downhill from there and I've since picked up a UHF and a pair of 777.

Hi, just thought I'd introduce myself.
I'm Nick and I'm from the north east of England. I've been lurking for a while but think I'm almost ready to take the plunge on a pair of Iron Hearts.
Just trying to decide which cut to go for at the moment which is proving tricky! I know I definitely want the 21oz selvedge.
Currently have a couple of 501 selvedge, Edwin ED 47 rainbow, Nashville and Brave star slim straights in 16.5oz among a few others so Iron Heart will be quite a jump in price and quality.
I also bought some Hoggs of Fife Rannoch thanks to browsing this forum! love them

I never introduced myself . Just ran into this thread .
My name is Mustafa and I am based out of Princeton , New Jersey . I am married with one 9 year old daughter .I always loved denim but never heard of selvedge denim or Japanese art of making denim. I was mostly Nordstrom / Bloomingdales denim shopper. About 1.5 years ago I was searching for denim and stumbled on an article of heddles breakdown of three tier of jeans brand. In their I’ve found “iron heart” name listed as top tier denim maker. I’ve never heard for iron heart. For curiosity sake , I went on iron heart site and quickly learned about selvedge denim and the forum. Interestingly, I never purchased a jeans over $200. I saw the pricing upwards of $400 and i immediately thought this must be the quality . I never mind spending money on denim if I see denim in person and appreciate the quality . Unfortunately , not many luxury stores in America carry selvedge Japanese quality denim . If they do they are online only items. Stores like self edge and blue owl are rear and I am not lucky to have a store nearby me.
I always appreciate quality in everything. My first purchase was iron heart 25oz 777 and my introduction to Alex. I immediately like the customer service .
Long story short , I am loving the denim world and getting more connected to other brand like pure blue Japan.
Few pictures of my denim collection!
Total denim weight 190oz!

Hi there !
I'm lurking and reading for a while on here now and I just thought I could introduce myself !
My name is Kevin, 28 yo, father of a 2yo girl. I live in far west germany, got a 20 minute bike ride to the Netherlands, which is super nice.
I'm into iron heart for just half a year maybe . I was looking out for some quality clothing after spending so much money for poor quality stuff and was so tired of this. Yeah that's how I found out about iron heart and some other hq brands .
Right now I own 2 pair of jeans (555 and a 634) and a 777 on the way. Five shirts so far and many on the to-buy-list. Think I'll be broke soon if this keeps going . It really is addicting. I almost don't want to wear anything else anymore. That's it so far. Cheers and have a nice day !
